Being a Sunday…

Reader discretion advised: very opinionated piece.

I thought I should delve into the spiritual world. I am very open-minded by the way. They say that minds are like parachutes, they only work when open. I have my beliefs. I respect other people’s beliefs. Today, most folks my age think that you will only be cool if you go all gangster and vulgar. I hate to admit it but phrases sound funnier on TV when someone adds a cuss word somewhere within it. That is just sad.

On twitter, for instance, it is alright for people to gang up against a person who asserts their moral standing on the Timeline. Where do you draw the line between right and wrong?

I believe it is all about respecting one another. If I believe in this and that, I can try making you see the sense in it cordially without even making you feel that what you believe in is wrong. I will also allow you to do the same. We may agree to disagree but in the end, our friendship is solid and respect maintained. It is even better when we agree to agree!

If you think what you believe is the right way, do not shove it down my throat. It happens a lot around campus. A Christian brother feels that I am not dressed appropriately. Immediately, I will be branded a prostitute. I may actually be very appropriate in my dressing. Someone else uses another approach and we talk it out and I may actually change my ways.

Approach, it is all about it.

I also believe in preaching the gospel. Do not freak out though. I just let my actions do the talking. I am not ashamed.

Peace!

Romans 12:9-10, 16. Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Have the same concern for everyone. Do not be proud, but accept humble duties.Do not think of yourselves as wise.
